Sgt Norman Hannah was the wireless operator in Lancaster aircraft in the elite
heavy bomber Squadron No 9. The aircraft crashed neat Belvoir castle in
Leicestershire, returning from an attack on rail communications at Argentan. The
6th June 1944 was D-Day.
